MCPSTAMP

Connect to Claude Desktop

Add an MCP server to Claude Desktop. Install one .mcpb file or paste a URL as a custom connector. Works on Mac and Windows. Free tier, no key.

Claude Desktop (.mcpb bundle)

Runs on your computer
  1. Open https://mcp.zovo.one/downloads#currency and download currency.mcpb.
  2. Double-click the file. Claude Desktop opens the install dialog.
  3. Click Install. No Node.js, no JSON, no terminal.
  4. Restart Claude Desktop if the tools don't appear.

Test status: The download URL answers (HTTP 206 on a range request, 2026-10-30). The install wasn't run. Bundles are v0.22.0. Npm is 0.22.6. Don't use releases/latest: it holds only hourly-rate.mcpb.

Swap currency for any server id from the server list.

Claude Desktop (JSON config)

Runs on your computer
  1. Install Node.js 18 or newer.
  2. Open claude_desktop_config.json. macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json. Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json.
  3. Merge the entry below into the mcpServers object. Don't overwrite other entries.
  4. Quit and restart Claude Desktop.
  5. For the hosted server, don't use this file: use Settings, then Connectors, and paste the URL as for Claude.ai.

Test status: Package is published (npm view @theluckystrike/mcp-currency: 0.22.6, bin mcp-currency). The same dist/index.js passed initialize, tools/list and tools/call over stdio. npx wasn't run.

Example with the currency server

    "currency": {
      "command": "npx",
