Custodian Beata, imprest 1,000 PLN

Table
VoucherPLN
Coffee and milk-42.50
Printer toner-89.99
Courier to the lab-25.00

Example from "Open the tin and log the week". Invented names, real math from the tools.

Open a float with a fixed amount, record each payout from the tin as a numbered voucher, and count the cash when you want. The count shows what should be there, what's there and every voucher since the last count. When the tin runs low you get the exact top-up, the totals per category and the double entry for the books.

Jobs this server does

All tools (7)

ToolWhat it does
float_openOpen a petty cash float on the imprest system and return its id.
float_reportReport each float: balance against imprest, what it takes to restore it, unreconciled vouchers with their total, the last count, and the history of what counts found over or short.
reconcileCount the tin: give the cash counted in whole MINOR units and the date, and get the expected balance, the difference, and every voucher since the last count, which this marks reconciled.
replenish_requestWork out what puts the float back to its imprest: the amount, the vouchers it reimburses, the totals per category as an expense_add-ready payload, and the double entry.
topup_recordRecord cash put into the tin, in whole MINOR units, with the date and source, and return the new balance against the imprest.
voucher_addRecord one voucher paid out of the tin and return its VOU-YYYY-NNNN number.
voucher_deleteDelete a voucher entered wrongly, by its VOU number.

Questions

Is the cash count limited on the free tier?
No. reconcile is free and unlimited.
Can I delete a voucher after a count?
No. A voucher covered by a count is refused. Add a correcting voucher instead.
Does it post to my accounting software?
No. It gives the double entry and an expense-ready payload. It writes nothing elsewhere.
